teasing radical change like firing the band take it all into my own hands,
what do you do with so much empty space but naught to fill it up with?
licking my wounds, running on fumes is and isn’t what I paid for
collecting my thoughts and scattering them, brain resembling a cutting room floor
everything in arm’s reach is closer to a joke than it is a convenience
I should look for real nourishment instead of just eating blueberries in my room

just try to let go of whoever I thought i would turn out to be
prevention, depression and expectations wear the hell outta me

move to the city, change my name on some imaginary budget
things are looking pretty good i guess nothing wrong with finding comfort in a small town,
but cycles stagnate and people mutate into something that i don’t like

using up all of the negative energy that I could never use
why wallow when you could just turn it into something you could dance to?
